Every Centurion Conversions commission is built to NIJ Compliant Level II — panels manufactured to meet NIJ Standard 0101.06 Level II performance requirements, with performance exceeding the Level II threshold. Level II armour stops 9mm FMJ and .357 Magnum rounds at the velocities defined by the standard. Soft armour of this class is not rated for rifle threats.

Our panels use a genuine DuPont™ Kevlar®/UHMWPE hybrid — 25–40% lighter than conventional soft armour — making them ideal for discreet installation in luxury outerwear. NIJ Compliant Level II offers an optimal balance of protection, weight, and discretion for wearable ballistic protection.

Every commission is individually quoted — we do not publish a rate card. Your quotation reflects the construction and complexity of the garment, the coverage specified, your service tier, and whether Centurion Conversions is sourcing the garment on your behalf. You receive a single, all-inclusive figure at consultation, covering conversion, certification, insured logistics, and warranty.

Conversions commence on a 50% deposit with the balance due before dispatch. Clients who settle in full on confirmation receive priority placement in the production schedule.

Yes. If you prefer not to part with a jacket you own — or simply want a new piece — Centurion Conversions will acquire a suitable garment on your behalf, brand new and never worn. At consultation you specify the style, cut, colour, and size; we present options and a single all-inclusive quotation covering the garment, sourcing, and conversion.

Once you approve the piece, the garment portion is settled in full (garments acquired on your behalf are non-refundable once purchased), and the conversion follows the standard deposit terms. Your finished jacket is delivered within 30 days of acquisition, certified and warranted.

All Centurion Conversions commissions carry a 5-year warranty covering the ballistic panels and conversion workmanship. This warranty covers the integrity of the Kevlar panels, stitching, and installation for five years from the date of delivery.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or modifications made by a third party after delivery. A Certificate of Protection is issued with every conversion.

No. The Kevlar panels are precision-cut and installed inside the jacket lining with concealed double-stitching. From the outside, your jacket looks, feels, and moves exactly as it did before conversion. The added weight is minimal — typically under 600–800g for front and back panels combined.

We work with premium quilted and padded outerwear that meets three basic criteria: the jacket should be capitonée (quilted or padded construction for structural integrity), should have a front closure such as a zip, and ideally should be purchased one size up from your normal fit to accommodate the panel depth comfortably.

A Centurion Conversions specialist will assess your specific garment during the consultation before confirming suitability.

Any third-party modification, including Centurion's conversion, will void the original garment manufacturer's warranty. This is standard practice across all premium brands and all alteration services.

You will receive Centurion Conversions' own 5-year conversion warranty in its place, covering the protection performance and workmanship of our installation.

In most jurisdictions, including across 48 US states and throughout the UK, EU, Mexico, and major international markets, NIJ Compliant Level II soft body armour is entirely legal for civilian ownership and wear. There are no licences required to own or wear soft armour in these regions.

Two US states have specific restrictions: New York (professional exemptions only) and Connecticut (in-person transaction with firearms permit required). Clients are responsible for confirming the laws of their own jurisdiction prior to purchase. Centurion Conversions does not ship to legally restricted regions.

Standard turnaround is 30 days from the date your garment is received — or, for sourced commissions, from the date we acquire the garment on your behalf. Clients who settle in full on confirmation receive priority placement in the production schedule, and expedited timelines can be arranged on Curated and Bespoke commissions. Your Centurion Conversions specialist will confirm your exact timeline at consultation.

Yes. All Centurion Conversions commissions use panels manufactured with 100% genuine DuPont™ Kevlar® fibre, sourced from a licensed manufacturing partner holding an exclusive Trademark License Agreement (TLA) with DuPont™. This is the same material trusted by law enforcement and security services worldwide.

Centurion-converted jackets should be dry-cleaned only — never machine-washed or tumble-dried, as heat and agitation can degrade the Kevlar fibre over time. The jacket should be stored flat or hung on a padded hanger, away from prolonged UV exposure. Full care instructions are provided with every conversion.
